Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the process for applying for club membership?

To apply for membership please fill in the application form and return it to the membership secretary (address on form).  Forms are available at the club house or can be downloaded from the link at the bottom of the Membership page

Once the application has been received along with the appropriate payment the membership secretary will acknowledge receipt and present your application at the next committee meeting.

2. Do I need to supply my own tennis equipment?

Members are expected to provide their own tennis rackets and wear appropriate tennis clothing and footwear.  Tennis balls are provided by the club and are available from the club house.

3. Do I need to book a court?

There is no need to book a court.  We have set playing times throughout the week for matches, coaching and social tennis.  Courts are open for general use at all other times. If you wish to play social tennis you can just come down to the club and join in.  We operate a peg-board queuing system to ensure that everyone gets a game with a minimum of waiting.

4.  I played tennis ages ago and would like to give it another try – whats the process ?

You can come down to any of our social tennis sessions (Saturday and Monday afternoons) and simply join in, or if you prefer you could start off at one of the Rusty Rackets sessions and brush up your skills .
